The K Club

Situated on the banks of the River Liffey in Straffan, Co. Kildare, The K Club is Ireland’s first AA 5 Red Star Hotel.

This idyllic location is also home to two championship Golf Courses, the Palmer Ryder Cup Course and the Palmer designed Smurfit Course.

Built in 1832, the original house was modelled on a French Château and still retains many of its original architectural features, art work and antiques.

Crystal Air were delighted to take the call regarding the supply, installation and maintenance of air conditioning systems in their newly built extension which comprises 70 bedrooms.

We are working with four out of five of the world’s largest technology firms

The challenge

Each room’s specifications required a heating and cooling solution that was energy efficient and effective in providing absolute comfort as well as user friendly controls for their guests use. A quiet system was a pre-requisite as to not disturb guests while they sleep.

The system needed to be aesthetically pleasing while maintaining the look and feel of the hotels French Château interior design.

The solution

For a quiet, discreet, easy to control heating and cooling air conditioning system, we decided the Panasonic VRF EC0i system perfectly matched the specifications given for the K Clubs heating and cooling requirements.

The extremely quiet MM Ducted Indoor Units and ultra-slim space-saving designs were produced specifically for the hotel sector where minimum noise requirements are a must.

We installed the accompanying easy-to-use control panels in each room so each guest could control and enjoy an environment specific to their needs. This system is optimised to provide maximum output with low energy consumption, which not only made the guests environment fresh and comfortable, but provided a nice boost to the K Club’s sustainability credentials.

“Crystal Air Ltd carried out a fantastic job of our air conditioning systems installation. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company in the future to any businesses requiring an air conditioned environment.”
