So what does this mean for you?

If you have an existing system which contains HCFC’s from the 1st of January 2010

the use of virgin HCFC’s in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump systems is

prohibited.

From the 1st of January 2015 the use of all HCFC’s including reclaimed and recycled HCFC’s will be prohibited. Your system can still operate after this date until such a time as maintenance is required.
